The Challenge
Small business managers spend hours building weekly schedules manually, share them through messaging apps, and immediately receive availability conflicts that force a rebuild. No-shows are only discovered when the shift starts. There is no formal record of who worked what hours, making end-of-month payroll reconciliation a painful manual process. Staff have no visibility beyond a message that gets buried in conversation history.
The Solution
Built a multi-role platform where managers build and publish schedules with real-time conflict detection; the system flags double-bookings and availability violations before the schedule is published. Staff confirm shifts or flag conflicts through their own portal. Attendance is marked immutably at shift start, creating a clean audit trail for payroll. The entire scheduling cycle, from building to publishing to confirmation to attendance, happens in one place.
The Outcome
A fully deployed platform covering the complete staff scheduling lifecycle: availability management, conflict-aware schedule building, shift confirmation, attendance tracking, and a payroll-ready hours summary. The roadmap extends to shift swapping, mobile notifications, leave management, overtime detection, and scheduling analytics.
